Late onset Ataxie
Durch eine Mutation im calcium activated neutral proteinase (CAPN1)-Gen kann es bei betroffenen Tieren zu einer sich stetig verschlimmernden Störung des Bewegungsapparates kommen. Neben anfänglichen Koordinationsproblemen und Gleichgewichtsproblemen kann dies bis zur völligen Bewegungsunfähigkeit führen. Betroffene Tiere entwickeln die Symptome in der Regel zwischen dem 6. und 12. Lebensmonat.
